Wear comfortable shoes and dress is very casual. Again, ALL of these options require planning ahead and purchasing tickets ahead of time, especially Falling Waters.) There is no air conditioning in the Wright homes so dress accordingly if you are visiting in warmer weather. (It was the first of 3 other sites we were touring so we did this in the morning, In the afternoon we enjoyed another home tour at Kentuck Knob and then Falling Waters the next day. We planned this 3-home tour in the morning with lunch on this site. Planning ahead is required to be able to experience the Duncan Home with a time and package that fits your plans for the day. Also, the tour sizes are small (less than a dozen) because a van drives you from one house to the next so space is very limited. There are different ticket options and prices vary so it is important to plan ahead.
We also elected to have lunch following the tour, which was an available option when we purchased our tickets.
There are THREE Frank Lloyd Wright homes on the property and an in-depth tour provides an opportunity to tour each and to be provided a tour guide that drives you to each home location AND provides details about construction, design features of each home, landscaping, etc. We made reservations one week ahead to visit the Duncan House at Polymath Park.
